Dental Clinic Programme
Supported by Fundación Colores de Calcuta, Spain
History: We began our operation in August, 2014.
Aim of the project : To provide high end dental health care to the needy and the underprivileged for free. Dental treatment, awareness and prevention programs of mouth cancer are some initial steps now being taken to implement preventative oral health measures among adult and children. The use of tobacco and betel leaf are the greatest risk factors for oral cancer among adults, while tooth decay in children is caused largely by poor diets laden with cheap sweets and the traditional practice of women breastfeeding toddlers late at night.
Where is it located : Pilkhana Medical Center, Pilkhana,Howrah.
How can you work with us?
There are families who are unable to afford dental care. We are in need of additional funding in order to be able to continue its great work and expand its reach to provide more underprivileged children and families. Free dental care for the impoverished society of Howrah is our endeavor.
His Excellency Mr. Gustavo De Aristegui , ambassador of Spain inaugurated the Dental Clinic on 16th January 2015.
