1. Sabita Pal aged about 40 years,  is a house wife at village Mashila(Andul) dist Howrah, have completed the Tailoring training course from Banipur Tailoring Centre. Now she works in from her house by procuring orders from local market and supplies ladies cloths (Petticoat, Blouse, Frock, Churidar etc.) from her house. Sabita’s husband works as a lobour in a small industrial workshop and earns about Rs. 2000/- monthly. They have a son and a daughter, son is studying at class VIII and daughter got married last year with the help of local club and neighbors. Sabita now feels to be in  better situation.


2.  Laxmi Paswan, aged about 22 year, residing at Rajgunj Shitalatala, Banipur Howrah.She is a spinster, and have completed her training from Banipur Tailoring Training Centre and now she is doing a Job at nearby Tailoring shop by stitching shirts, trousers, churidars etc. and earn about Rs. 2000/- monthly. Laxmi’s father sells candies and balloons and earns a meager amount, so Laxmi’s earning supports her family.

Laxmi has two sisters, elder sister got married but she also very poor so she can’t support Laxmi’s family, and the younger sister earns Rs 500/- P.m. by doing stiching works. Laxmi dreamed to study but lack of financial support  failed to realize her dreams.


3. Ratna Mondal, aged about 24 years is a married woman living in a village Rajgung Shitalatala, Banipur, Howrah, West Bengal.

Ratna Mondal learned Tailoring from Banipur tailoring Center. Now she works from her home, by taking procuring orders from the local market and earns about Rs. 2500/- monthly. Her husband works in a workshop and earns Rs. 2000/- monthly. They have a son studying in Baniniketan Education Centre supported by Seva Sangh Samiti.

Ratna’s  Parents in law also stays with them. As her husband’s earning is insufficient, Ratna’s earning supports a lot to her family.


4. Mallika Bera aged about 30 years is a married woman of village Ramchandrapur, Sankrail, dist – Howrah has learned Tailoring training from Banipur Tailoring Centre.

Now she is self employed and earns about Rs. 1800/- per month to help her family. Her husband works as labour in a shop and earns Rs. 2500/- monthly. They have one son who is studying in class IV in Baniniketan Education Centre supported by Seva Sangh Samiti and they have to take care of their two unmarried sister-in-law also. One is 45 age and another is 50 year old
